When I ordered this truck about 5 months ago the shipping was reasonable and when I got the truck the only thing wrong was flat spots on all the tires except the spare. I put new tires on and painted the body myself on top of the grey it was already painted. The building process was fun but I wish the bags were labeled and some actually instructions would have helped the process go faster. Tons of room for electronics and YES you have to remove the roof for access to electronics and the BATTERY. The winch it came with is also something to write about, looks great and works even better. I would totally recommend this truck to anyone willing to tinker and work with the truck. Looking forward to putting the locking axles in it.

Only one word can describe our newest limited edition chassis - it's a beast! Realistically modelled after the historical MAN Kat1 series of 7-ton military-spec all-terrain trucks developed for the German Army, our 7T-GL High Mobility 6X6 Truck is a 1/10-scale machine like nothing we've ever released before! Weighing in at over 11 pounds, the build of this machine all starts with the backbone - a pre-assembled box-type ladder ladder frame made from steel and alloy components. From here, you'll find three Billet machined alloy axles with metal gear differentials (spool for the front axle), full ball bearings, full alloy high-ratio center transmission, full-time six-wheel drive system with HD universal driveshafts, and a multi-link crawler-type suspension with separate alloy shocks and springs.
Topping the chassis is a full aluminum, scale detailed, multi-piece metal cab and bed (assembly required) with features such as front and rear LED lights, standard front electric winch, adjustable side mirrors, front skid plate, actual working rear tailgate, clear Lexan windows, full-sized spare wheel and tire, paintable interior set and rear wheel fenders. A matching set of six (seven including the spare) of our true beadlock 1.9-class alloy beadlock wheels and pre-mounted rock crawler tires round out the look. we also include a set of alloy tools for assembly (see NOTE below).
NOTE: PHOTOS ABOVE SHOW COMPLETELY ASSEMBLED VEHICLE. Out of the box, the lower chassis (frame, axles, suspension, etc.) arrives 90% assembled; Upper cab, and trailer bed arrive unassembled and requires assembly. Interior and rear fenders are Lexan, and must be painted. Reference photos included; and use liquid threadlock when required, as some components are assembled for packaging purposes only.

Battery access
Ok, so when I got my 6X6, the 8X8 was not even a thought. Don't get me wrong, the 6X6 is an awesome machine BUT.........you have to unscrew and remove the whole roof panel to access the battery to disconnect/charge. Imagine the battery is running low and you want to swap it out. Now you have to remove a bunch of tiny screws in order to change the battery. How many will you lose in the field? Seems no real thought went into the battery location and access, just get the 8X8 if you are serious about these trucks.
